Nortel to Test IPTV STBs in India

According to the Hindu Business Line, Nortel is set to test IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) STBs (Set-Top Box) in India. The STBs are expected to be manufactured by Nortel's joint venture partner LG and imported from Korea. Optical fiber will be provided by Nortel, while services of Indian telecoms such as Bharti, Tata, BSNL, and Reliance will be enlisted in the test runs.
